About Westchester Skiers & Riders

Westchester Skiers & Riders (WSR) was started in 2003 to serve snowsports lovers from all over the Westchester County, New York metro area and surrounding suburbs.
History:
With only seven members in our first year, our beloved club grew at a breakneck pace from an online home at Meetup.com. By 2008, we had adopted the Northern New Jersey Skiers and Riders group and hosted over 325 members throughout both clubs.

One year later, we dedicated ourselves to a membership more exclusive to Westchester County and NY State. To this day, we are proud to also have members from NYC, New Jersey, Connecticut —even Massachusetts.

Today:

Since 2005, we've been proud to schedule over 90 events and have one of the most active memberships of any winter sports club in the metro area. Together we've enjoyed great trips to Mount Snow, Killington, Smuggler's Notch, Okemo, Windham, Gore and Steamboat, Colorado.

Our mission:

1. To promote the learning and enjoyment of winter sports.

2. To bring great people together that have an interest in enjoying skiing, riding or whatever they love.

3. To enhance our resort experiences by leveraging the power in numbers that groups bring.

Whether you're a beginner, intermediate or consummate pro, you're invited to join us for the most fun, advice, day trips and vacations. It's all about what we love doing best: carving up the white stuff!
